Memory Walk
The MVP 20/30 was represented by (6) members at the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk on Saturday, September 27 at Perkins Park in Warren, Ohio. 'Sweet' Sara Mikulski, Nick 'not sixth but' Fithian, Brian 'Take me Away' Laraway, Shana 'the Great' Glenellen, Miranda 'Not so' Young and 'He's Just' Chris Jaskiewicz.

The group raised $2,105.00 for the Alzheimer's Association. The members walked in memory and in honor of family member and friends who have lost the fight or who are currently fighting Alzheimer's. We thank everyone for their responses and efforts to rid the world of this terrible disease.

We will also be Rake leaves for shut-in senior citizen(s) this fall.

Young Philanthropist Fund Calls for Grant Application
The Young Philanthropist Fund Board will review and award grants to any 501(c)(3) organization with a youth-oriented program in the Mahoning Valley. The total disbursement to be given out will be $3,000. For grant applications, please visit the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley’s website at www.cfmv.org. Click on the grant tab, fill out the application and return it to the Foundation by November 1, 2008.

Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley Awards Grants to the Ursuline Center HIV/AIDS Ministry
The Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley announces two grant awards to the Ursuline Center HIV/AIDS Ministry. The grants were awarded to the Ursuline Center HIV/AIDS Ministry, Wednesday, April 16th by component funds of the Foundation.

The MVP 20/30 Club today announced the opening of nominations for the Fourth Annual MVP's 40 Under 40 Awards, to be held Thursday, November20, 2008, at the DeYor Performing Arts Center in downtown Youngstown.

MVP 20/30 Announces 2007 Annual Report/Financial Statement and 2008 Club Officers and Board of Trustees
MVP 20/30 today announced its 2007 Annual Report and Financial Statement as well as its 2008 Club Officers and Board of Trustees. According to the Report, the third annual 40 Under 40 Awards raised nearly $15,000 for the Young Philanthropist Fund (YPF), with a three year donation to the Fund of over $41,000.

Young Philanthropist Fund Continues to Seek Grant Applications
The Young Philanthropist Fund was established in early 2006 with the goal of introducing the Valley’s younger generation to the role of philanthropy and the fine efforts of our non profit community, and prepare them for their future role as our Valley’s philanthropists. The total disbursement to be given out will be $2,500.00.

2007 40 Under 40 Honorees
We are pleased to announce the 40 individuals who will be honored at the third annual 40 Under 40 Awards to be held on Thursday, November 15, 2007 (6:00 p.m.- Cocktail Hour, 7:30 p.m.- Awards Ceremony) at Stambaugh Auditorium by The Mahoning Valley Professional 20/30 Club and The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley. These honorees are being recognized for their career accomplishments and outstanding community service.

Mahoning Valley Brain Gain Report
Teaming with the United Way’s Achieving Our Potential (AOP) committee, the Mahoning Valley 20/30 club embarked on a year-long process to study brain gain/drain and the effects on our valley.
