The Youth of Inspiring Minds learn to give back!
One year ago Inspiring Minds held its First Christmas Party where the youth of our organization learned firsthand the joy and importance in giving. Staff and youth were made able, by the community, to provide a Christmas party, dinner, and gifts to 25 less fortunate children and a dozen families from the Warren Ohio area. On December 22nd, 2008, Inspiring Minds will extend their hands in service again with the Second Annual Christmas Party! We are looking to repeat the blessings of last year. In order to do accomplish this, we ask for you to join in our mission of uplifting those in need at the most joyous time of year.

Applications are now being accepted for 2009 MVP 20/30 Club Board of Trustees/Officers
Applications for the 2009 MVP 20/30 Club Board of Trustees/Officers are now open. All current members in good standing with the club are eligible to apply. Interested applicants should complete and return their 2009 Nomination Form by December 1, 2008. Only completed applications will be considered.

Young Philanthropist Fund Calls for Grant Application
The Young Philanthropist Fund Board will review and award grants to any 501(c)(3) organization with a youth-oriented program in the Mahoning Valley. The total disbursement to be given out will be $3,000. For grant applications, please visit the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley’s website at www.cfmv.org. Click on the grant tab, fill out the application and return it to the Foundation by November 29, 2008.

40 Under 40
Next month, the MVP 20/30 Club and the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley are proud to present the fourth annual 40 Under 40 Awards. Since 2005, this prestigious and community-driven event has honored over 140 exceptional young professionals under the age of 40 who have excelled in their chosen careers and demonstrated a strong commitment to continued community involvement.
Join us on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at the DeYor Performing Arts Center and Ford Family Recital Hall in downtown Youngstown for this exciting event. The fun begins at 6:00 pm with heavy hors d'oeuvres and cash bar; the awards begin at 7:30 pm. which MVP 20/30 Club members, YSU students and Youth Leadership Mahoning Valley participants provide grants to non profit agencies in partnership with CFMV – and passing the values of philanthropy on to a new generation of leaders.
